Landlord & Landlady

Craig & Claire - after 15 years in the service industry we are very proud to be going it alone and running our own pub/restaurant. The Crown Inn is the perfect match for us and we look forward to spending many happy years here with our young family.

Craig, began his trade working in a little known Italian restaurant specialising in freshly cooked pasta & pizza. Working in an open kitchen he learned to cook with flare and instantly found a passion for cooking. Since then he has made a transition to front of house manager and back again working at the likes of The Queens, Belbroughton and more recently The Oak Inn Defford.

Fresh, local & seasonal produce are key elements to his cooking, the menu changes with the seasons where traditional dishes with a modern twist are blended with new creative dishes, but don't be surprised to see the odd Italian influence.

Claire, embarked on her career in the service industry from as early as 14 years old waitressing at Dunstall Park in Wolverhampton. She went on to work at the then Beatties where she quickly rised through the ranks to become their youngest ever floor and area manager respectively. Now a proud mother of three young boys she acts as owner and hostess of The Crown.  Expert knowledge of wine, food & ales accompany her bubbly personality and kind nature to help create a fantastic experience for our guests. Expect a warm, friendly Black Country welcome!

The Kitchen

Head Chef - Lee

Lee began his career in a small country pub working alongside a highly regarded Head Chef in the quest for his 2nd rosette. After that was acheived Lee felt the need to further his career by accepting a greater role in one of Gloucestershire's premiere hotels. With a keen eye for detail and a flair for creativity we look forward to seeing some new seasonal dishes with his own personal twist.

Sous Chef - Dan

Dan is the newest addition to the team originally from Newcastle. He brings a lot of experience to the table with a fantastic knowledge of vegetarian and vegan dishes. He has honed his talents since the age of 14 working in some of the top bistros in Newcastle all the way through the ranks. Dan has a wonderful knowledge of balancing textures and flavours to create the perfect dish.  

Front of House 

Supervisor - Kelly

Kelly has a passion for the industry so much so that she went to Stratford Catering School to obtain a degree in Hospitalility Management so you will be sure to recieve a high level of customer service upon your visit. Kelly has an excellent product knowledge and will endevour to make your visit as if you were visiting friends with a warm and welcoming smile.
